walk-ome

Walking transforms urban life. It's how we connect with our cities, find the extraordinary in the ordinary, and build community. This site is dedicated to exploring and celebrating the power of walkability and advancing the right to safe, accessible, and stimulating pedestrian environments for all.

Project axes

Right to the City

Conceptualized by Henri Lefebvre, it transcends the mere individual freedom to access urban amenities; it embodies a collective right to shape and participate in the ongoing production of urban space.

Mobility/Walkability

Mobility is about everyone being able to get around easily, whether by bus, bike, or on foot. Walkability means streets that are friendly to walking, with safe sidewalks, good lighting, and accessible intersections. Together, these two things make the city fairer, greener, and more enjoyable for everyone.

Public space belongs to everyone: parks, squares, streets. It's where we live together, meet, and express ourselves. A good public space is safe, accessible, green, and invites us to participate in the life of the city.

about the
project

Our passion for creating more livable and equitable cities has led us to create this space to explore every corner of walkability. As an architect and researcher, I share my experience, along with stories and ideas, on how we can build better cities, step by step.
