All my life I've wanted to talk about this. Have you noticed that when you're walking, you see more things than you do when you're in a car? It turns out that when we're on foot, hundreds of details appear that we wouldn't notice in a car. We're talking about experiences that range from an urban or architectural detail to an everyday experience that may not be entirely ours, but witnessing it will always have an impact on us. Walking through a city is building it, because we go beyond existing in it, to interacting, appropriating, living it, and building an emotion related to each of its characteristics. Talking about our way of interacting with the city allows those who identify with all these emotions to help us build the experience. What do you say? Shall we build a city together?
